Evansville : Indiana

Evansville lies along the north bank of the Ohio River and is the seat of Vanderburgh County. Evansville is the center of a metropolitan area that includes Warrick, Gibson, and Posey counties in Indiana and Henderson County in Kentucky. Evansville displays a unique blend of historic structures and modern architecture making it a perfect combination of the past and the present. The climate of Evansville is influenced by moisture-bearing low pressure formations that move from the western Gulf of Mexico region over the Mississippi and Ohio valleys to the Great Lakes and northern Atlantic Coast. The growing season lasts approximately 199 days.
