Indiana : An Overview

Indiana is the smallest of the 12 mid-western states and is ranked 38th in size and covers a total area of 36,185 sq mi (93,720 sq km).  Indiana is shaped like a vertical quadrangle which is bounded by Michigan to the North, Ohio to the East, Kentucky to the South and by Illinois to the West. The geographical center of Indiana is Boone County and the capital is Indianapolis
