Indiana's Tourist Hot Spots

Indiana offers a host of activities for both international and domestic tourists. It has many small towns that hold big and rich cultural roots. Its north holds exotic sand dunes and associate communities while its south has vibrant hills, caves and display of concrete lawn arts.

Indianapolis: The capital city of the state Indiana that is most famous for its Motor speedway Museum and car racing is among the utmost interests of the city. It has a mix of museums, nightlife and sporting venues.
  • Indianapolis Motor Speedway: The speedway is the home of the famous Indianapolis 500 motor race. A worth watch site in the city hosts millions of visitors.
  • Hall of Fame Museum: The museum features approx 75 racing cars, tiffany trophy and a track tour.
  • Indianapolis Museum of Art: The museum has a splendid collection of European Arts, African tribal art, south pacific art and Chinese works. Oldfield-Lilly houses & Gardens and Fairbanks Art & Nature park are other attractions of the museum.
  • Eiteljorg Museum of American Indians & Western Art: Features fascinating gallery of American artifacts such as basketry, pots and masks. It also houses exotic collections of realistic western paintings.
  • Indiana State Museum: It includes displays on prehistory and American African settlements in the region.
Columbus:
Columbus is the remarkable gallery of physical designs. Since 1940 the city has commissioned some of the world’s best architects including Eero Saarinen, Richard Meier and IM Pei to create both public and private buildings.

Nashville: A bustling tourist destination that is located west to Columbus. It is a point to Brown County State Park, the largest park of Indiana where trails give access to the hikers and horse riders. Another attraction is Nashville House, is famous for its home cooked meals and Bill Monroe Museum hails the bluegrass hero.

Bloomington:
The city is the home to Indiana University and surrounded by restaurants, bars, bookshops and historic malls. Here the Art Museum, designed by IM Pei has an excellent collection of African art, European and US paintings. Tibetan Cultural Center and Dagon Gaden Tensung Ling Monastery indicates the significance of Tibetan culture in Bloomington.
